Subject: Roller Rockers...Why? IP: Logged
Message: So I thought the V6 Magnum engines had roller rockers from the factory. I see guys installing the crower kits etc. What is the advantage? Do the 1.7's (I think) open the valves further i.e. more flow?
Are these best used in concert with other flow mods to notice? Just pondering the next toys I need to wake up Mr. sleepy.

Message: the magnum motors didnt come with roller rocker, only roller lifters... putting the 1.7 rockers on is like doing a cam swap but not... going with the roller rockers gets rid of friction from the regular non-roller stampped steel rockers... putting the 1.7's in inplace of the factory 1.6 style rockers does flow more air into the motor thus creating a bit more power... now if your runnin a larger TB you'll get better use of it with useing the 1.7 rockers cause that additional air that is coming thru that larger TB is going to go into the engine more cause of the valve opening up more...
