I have turned the stock crank rods and pistons
upto 6000rpm they will also handle a 100 shot
of nitrious with no problem
The lower end on the V6 is very strong and can be
made even stronger with a little machining and
using the 318 rods and forged pistons

the oil sending unit is on the back of the block next to the distributor.
