Subject: 95 Dakota V6 no spark IP: Logged
Message: Died one day and haven't had spark since.
Repaced coil, crank sensor, hall pick up, cap
rotor. Also notice that I have fuel in rail but
doesn't see to get fuel to injectors. Any ideas
greatly appreciated.

Message: Could be the ole #115 splice. about 8" down from PDC. There are many posts here on that.
It could also be a bad ground wire at the PCM. Check, I think pins 11 and 12, which are black. See if they are lose.
Could also be bad wiring. The injectors and several other sensors use the same wire. check the wiring diagrams in the hyanes manual.
My old 95 v6 4x4 would sporatically just die and it was the #115 splice. I also saw a no start no spark condition from the bad ground wire. Took me a long time to track that one down. For the bad ground wire (it was lose INSIDE the PCM connector head that screws into the pcm) I tested it with my multimeter and held the wire inplace while my wife expoxied it in place. problem solved.

Message: I found the 115 splice and redid it even though
it looked pretty good, there was also another
splice with 3 blues that did not look so good
so I redid that one also. With the key in the on
position I check for power at the computer pin
plug, I have power to 3, 9, 51, 35, 34, 32, and
34. When I stick my light tester into I hear the
ASD relay in the power box click in.

Message: Careful here I said pin 3 and 9 if you try other
pins you need to know what your testing or you
could damage the comp the sensors all run on a
5 volt supply from the comp putting full battery
voltage into these pins can damage it
so does it run now if pin 3 and 9 work and you
still have no spark check the coil and crank
sensor
Its very rare but computers do go bad but very very rare for that to happen
