Subject: Comp problems IP: Logged
Message: I have a 97 dak and my comp keeps loosing power for some reason. I keep having to reset the idle speed about 2 times a week. I ran the onboard diagnostics and get a code 12 and the check engine light keeps coming on after I reset it. What could some possible problems be?

Message: reset idle speed..? the computer is what controls the idle speed throught the IAC valve... its possible that your comp is going up or you have a wiring issue

Message: Don't know. Everytime I try to start the truck it revs up to 1500 and stalls. The only way to make it stop is to run the engine at 2500 rpm for about 3mins and it stops doing it. A local shop told me about that.
