Message: I have a 2000 CC 3.9L 4x4. I am looking for a supercharger that I can bolt on. All that is offered by Vortech is for Dakota/Durango 5.2 or 5.9. Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Message: Electric is useless...someone calculated it up and in order to get enough boost to make a real noticeable difference, you'd need to be running something like 13 or 14 alternators.
There was a study done that proved a leaf blower gave a small gain on the dyno. They hooked the leaf blower directly up to the throttle body I believe, ran it full blast and dyno'd the vehicle that way. It had a little more horsepower with the leaf blower than it did with the normal intake. Although I don't think you wanna be rigging a leaf blower up to it...

Message: Also...I believe KRC Performance offers V6 supercharger kits, but they're far from cheap.
I've also heard that kits designed for V8's will work with some modification.
Yeah...KRC Performance has em.

Message: Dang...if you're willing to spend the $4k on a supercharger if I were you (just my opinion) I would drop in a v8 for that. You'll probably right at or maybe a little behind in power but at least you can work up from a stock V8. Once you've got the supercharger on...then what?
