Message: Mine did the same thing about a week ago and I too only noticed the driver side was smoking, I went and touched my chrome rim and burnt my finger the things got so hot, at first I thought I warped the rotors and that would have really made me mad. It only turned out to dust or dirt in the calipers so I changed them out for 200 bucks and now they are fine. Oh yeah dont buy your calipers from Dodge they want like 450 bucks.

Message: i jacked the ass end up and put the truck in drive and let the wheels spin. when i noticed that one tire only was spinning i went to loosen it and all the lug nuts were so loose that the tire could have fallen off the truck at any time. so im going to talk to the place that did my inspection and took off the wheel. But thank you very much.

Message: firemanje2004,,,, your problem sounds like to be the rear wheel ABS sensor for your ABS light to stay on... now if your pedal went hard that could be due to the vacuum power booster going bad, the diaphram could be cracked on a rubber seal and allowing the vacuum to bleed down... the 99 dakotas only have rear wheel ABS so takeing it to a local shop or if you access to a scanner to read the ABS codes from the vehicles ABS computer then go that way to see what the code is
