Subject: 1/8 mile time IP: Logged
Message: I ran my truck for the first time tonight. I ran the 1/8 mile at a local strip and got 11.3 seconds at 60 MPH
my truck is a 97 SLT 3.9L with a few mods (intake, exhaust and pulleys)
I'm just wondering what some of you guys ran. I mean it was my first time but i don't have anything to compare it to.
I was just kinda excited and wanted to see if i did pretty good or terrible.
ET: 11.3 sec
MPH: 60.5
RT: .124
60 FT: 2.49
thanks!

I have a few of the common bolt-ons. This was my second time to the track. Practice is the key, especially for the 60 feet times. A 2.2 is possible with radial tires but not easy. Reducing your 60' time by .2 will cut about .4 off your 1/4 mile. Your times will improve with more experience. Congrats on your times.

Message: hey...i have a 92 dakota..and i read a spec that it 0-60's in 8.3..but my year is a lot lighter than the new ones..i'm running approximately 200 hp..due to a hollowed out catylic converter and a k&n...but i've approximated mine does it in about 8.8 to 9 on 0-60..not sure about the quarter mile..i'm guessing mid 16's...that sound like a good estimate?

Message: hey guys, I forgot I posted that. Since then, a couple months ago I ran a 11.0 at like 63 MPH I think.
I'd try again but the strip is closed this time a year for a few months.
