Subject: Oil leaks with air flow mod IP: Logged
Message: Everytime I open up my 1992 dakota for more air, I get oil leaks. First I took off the plastic flap in the front, behind the grill, afterwards I found oil leaks (hard to isolate exact location). I reversed mod, no more leaks. Then I dropped in a K&N filter and flipped the air filter cover (provides 3/4 inch gap all the way around the filter), more oil leaks. Reversed mod, no more leaks.
has anyone had this problem??? Any clues???

Message: That sounds really weird, what is causing the increased pressure in the crankcase to push oil out? Maybe replace the PCV valve. Totally weird!
