Message: There are three different styles. One is the ball and socket, the most common type. Just pop the cable off the ball. If it's a bit tight a little persuasion with a screw driver makes it easier. The disk type requires that you slide the end of the cable forward and off the disk. It kind of snaps over the disk so it might initially seem to be stuck. The third type is very similar to the cables found on bicycle brakes or motorcycles and come off the same way. If you don't know how that works just ask any kid that is into bikes.

Message: Thanks, I have the ball and socket type and I thought it would pop off but I've broken lots of things that looked like they would come apart easily and wanted to check before I tried. Thanks again.
