just wondering how much HP is in a
newer subaru car. It was hard to see
as it flew past me when i was full throttle.
All i knew is that it said subaru and it was
black. other then that my driving skills beat
his cause i caught up and beat him in the driving/traffic part of the race. Other then that
it was really fast.........
just wondering how much Hp those d@mn things have.....

if it was a wrx it is 227hp and they are 13 sec cars stock. they fast and you dont want any of it i was looking at buying one in the near future there AWD!! and can buy alot of kits that basically double the hp(boosts it up to 400hp) for $2k
oh yea 0-60 in 5.4(stock)

227 hp form a light car.
I drove one and they do feel all of high 5's 0 to 60!!

i test drove one about a month ago(almost traded Dak in for it) they are awsome espically the AWD the traction is great. and his driving skills well he proably wasnt on it man a WRX will put you out a distance just in the 0-60.
and dont mess with a WRX they are too fast and you'll just end up wasting your gas. =)

My wife drives a 97 subaru outback limited wagon. It is rated at 165 hp and that puppy has alot of get up and go!! It is really nice taking it out on dirt roads and having the AWD kick in;) That thing corners like it is on rails, baby!!

yea the subaru 4 banger non-turbo have 165hp they are fast too....but the wrx is faster and if it had round headlights thats what it was if not it might have been the impreza rs.

Whats even better is that the WRXsti is getting ready to come over here in about 6 months. Try about 280hp, close ratio6sp, and zero to 60 in like high4s, DAMM!! thats fast. bernd we need that turbo!!

the wrx sit will be awsome but will have to get rid of them gold rims!
and the front is alot better than the back! only thing i dont like about the impreza wrx is the interior. most sports cars have nice interior the wrx doesnt. =(
but atleast it goes fast and looks cool =)

The S2000.
I have heard its pretty reliable, it revs so high cause its based on a motorcycle engine.
As far as I know its the highest hp per liter of any NA engine produced to date.

What are you talking about saying that the WRX is ugly?!? I think that they are pretty b!tchen little cars. If we didn't need the station wagon to haul around the fam, I would want my wife in one of those so I could drive it every once in a while. It is a cool little rally car that hauls a$$ as a stock machine and could blow away little honda's and other ricers.

No, the Impreza WRX doesn't come in a wagon....we have an outback. But I still like driving it around.
I am not sure why my thumbnail pic is blurry. I think it has something to do with when I shrunk the digital pic down to size so the file would fit and I could upload it. I have been thinking bout trying again, but I just haven't gotten around to it.

WRX most def. does come in a wagon pyro, i think they are ugly though, the reg one looks better though they are freakin tiny, i havent gotten in one yet, but my dad and i have a running bet that i cant fit into one.(6'4") and thats why i love my dak... roomy but if i do fit.. wrx sti might have to be my first car when i graduate and get commisioned btw if youve ever played gran tourismo 2 on PS then you have some idea of how cool those cars are

Even better than the WRX is comming late this year (I think) its the Lancer (I think EVO8).
Now that is one bad @ss little machine!!!
280hp!! and concidering mopar still has a stake in Mitsu its not like sacrilege to buy one either.

My bad with not knowing about the WRX wagon. I only thought that the WRX was the coupe only and the wagons were just outback sports. Oh well, live and learn.....
My overall point was that Subaru's are kick a$$ little cars....wagons or not.

i raced a WRX in my dads Stratus R/T. we didnt line up though. we both turned off a red light and got on it. he was a stick and im not (unless you count autostick). i was a car length behind but then again he turned first. i think from a standing start he woulda killed me.

i might not have been a turbo, i have the 165hp/167torque non turbo subaru and even it will make a stock dakota look like its standing still at WOT. at the local dragstrip, which is only 1000ft not a full 1/4 mile, there are two dakota 5.9RT's that regularly run mid-high 13's. my subaru with only intake and exhaust hits consistent 13.0-13.1's. im just saying it might not even had been a turbo model.

what the hell is a 13.1 1000ft time? thats around 1/5 of a mile, right? what would that be in a 1/4?
the WRX runs a 14.1 1/4 and 0-60 in 5.4
R/Ts are faster then non turbo imprezas stock which run 16.1 1/4s as opposed to the R/T which is like 14.9-15.5 or something. i doubt u can beat an r/t.
