Subject: weird noise from left wheel IP: Logged
Message: ok now it happens to me too,
during the last weeks of december and january I heard sometimes a weird noise from my left front tire, during left turns and going straight, only at ow speed (5 - 10mph). Now after my truck was parked for a week, because of vacation, this noise is totally gone.
my truck:
1997 2WD Dakota Sport
140.000 Milage
new tires
new front brakes
possible problem, what I can think about:
bearings?
what can it be and how is it to fix/cost? And what happens if I ignore this, cause I'm kinda broke right now. I also just passed the smogtest and they didn't notice anything special.

Message: to check your front left wheel bearing, you need to take a hard right turn to put more weight on the left wheel. if its worn out it will make a growling sound.

Message: I was flippin out about the same kinda noise for weeks. i checked everything i could think of. it ended up being the driver side torsion bar needed gease. i just sprayed some white grease on both ends and no more noise.

Message: thx,
but it was something else, I went to my local garage to have a look at this and it turned out that there were some gravel and my left brake disc...
now its all ok again, so I got lucky this time.
