Message: spt,
Thanks for the site. Its what I was looking for.
Dan M,
Was reading some info on it. Looks like you're right. Check for vacuum on the valve and transducer. (Already replaced that) Then check for leaky hoses or connections. I might get back to you here because that won't be easy. I'll be looking for a vacuum pressure checker or hand pump and start there. thanks.

Message: I bought a vacuum tester/brake bleeder from harbor freight a few months back.
The pep boys here has one in their lowner tool program. Last I checked advance and autozone did not.
the EGR is a fairly simple device. Has 2 parts and operates from electical connector (may check wiring there as well) and off vacuum. Also, when you replaced it did you get the EGR tube back in properly? not bent or damaged or clogged?

Message: Dan, I did buy a vacuum pump... the only one that was in stock at kragen in my area. $50 bucks.

I'll look into checking the wiring and the connections. And also the clogged part on replacing what I already did. Further, I just finished checking the ERG solenoid and Purge solenoids. My truck is reading code34 also. According to the site recommended earlier this is a problem with the solenoids. Point-being, there was water in the 3 out of 6 vacuum lines connected to the solenoids. {Pretty dirty inside the solenoids themselves, too}
I cleared the crude out and the codes and am going for a drive a bit. Hopefully that fixed it.
