dakota 97 42re tranny. i but out the valve body i clean it.i whont to know what spring or valve to change for the 2 to 3 shift it is the switch valve,throttle valve,accumulator spring,regulator valve

OUCH
They are all togather back of body under a flat
plate 5 screws carful when you take it apart
note locations of springs and valves
1-2 gov plug and valve & spring
2-3 gov plug and valve & spring
cup shuttle valve and spring right below this
Get a diagram or have a trans shop clean the body
for you or you could be in a lot of trouble
