Subject: TCC code IP: Logged
Message: I added this under my question about mpg on my truck, but I thought I'd put it in a seperate post to give it more visibility. I had the codes pulled on my 96 4X4 and along with misfire on the #5 cylinder and a malfunctioning trans fluid temp sensor they also pulled up a TCC code. What is this???

Message: Your 96 has a RE trans elect gov presure control
The first thing to do is clean the conection on
the trans near the shifting lever drivers side
2 things on the TCC torque converter clutch
the change valve right in front of the presure
adjustment in the valve body may be hanging up
try a bottle of lube gard red it will help
sticky valves
the other thing is the o/d sol may be bad
the temp sensor on the RE is incorpirated into
the presure sensor it is best to replace both
the sensor and sol around $200 from mopar this is
a well known problem with the RE transmissions
The first thing we would do with this is check
the TC valve replace the sensors and replace
fluid and filter
mopar +4 or amsoil synthetic run well in these
trans
