You think if I dove my truck down to TX you(I would like to help if possable)could rebiuld the engine in my truck and put a twin turbo kit and nitrous on it in a couple days? It could be a year before I can get the money to do all this though, if that soon. But I would rather take it to you since most people around here don't really know dakotas too well, let alone know how to make then fast.

V6 = Single Turbo
4.7L = Single Turbo
5.2/5.9L = Twin Turbo

Rebuilding the engine and installing a complete turbo system takes more than a couple (2) days. Engine rebuild takes approximately a week and then there's the break in. Once the engine has broken in, then install the turbo. (You don't want a rebuilt engine to run under high boost...break it in easy and then install the turbo system - or supercharger - at about 5K miles.) Factory engines don't apply to this as they already have the initial break in done - 1500 miles than they're good to go.

this may be a dumb question but how much faster will the V8 turbos be then the V6? are they gonna run like 12s or not that extreme. although i guess you guys have said like 3 second faster or so right so V6 17-14 V8 15-12?

Ok. Then my next question is, is it hard to put dry nitrous system on a Gen2?(take in mind I don't know much about wireing or computers) Thanks for all the help so far. Is there some website that has info on t/c and s/c?

the wiring is easy... all you have to do is wire a solenoid in and a switch.... any quality kit would come with instructions

On the times, that depends on pre-existing modifications and the actual vehicle. Projected times for the V6 are mid 14's and mid 12's for the V8.

On the dry nitrous system, be careful. If you don't have the proper fuel enrichment, you can burn a piston, crack a head, etc. You can run up to a 45-50HP shot safely but anything above that will require the fuel enrichment. I know of two people who ran a 100 and 125HP dry shot - they're engines were also recently rebuilt (due to the dry shot).
