Subject: Need Help Removing Oil Pan IP: Logged
Message: I am trying to install a new oil pump in my 98 slt 4x4. I am runnig into alot of problems while trying to drop the oil pan. I have the pan loose but I cant get it to drop out. since the truck is 4x4 i think it might be the gear box located right under the pan, and it is not allowing the pan to drop at all. am I going to have to remove this?
thanks

Message: I removed the driver side motor mount bolts. What would be the best way to raise the motor without getting in the way of the oil pan?
