Subject: mud tires for v6 2wd single cab dakota IP: Logged
Message: ive always had street tires on my truck and i am starting to get into hunting and i need new tires so im thinking of getting some reasonably priced mud tires. my truck gets stuck so easy with street tires, ive got stuck in everythign (beach sand, muddy grass, and just mud or sand). im not trying to run my truck through a huge mud hole i just want some tires that will get my 2wd dakota through a little mud and some soft sand.
what size do you recommend? i have no lift.

Message: I have a 89 Dakota with 235/75/15 on right now. Its a 4WD but I have tested out my rear tires in sloppy ass conditions. Basically it was a recent rain in mud and grass. The terrain was I thought 4-wheel drive only. I had just bought the tires and they seem to chuck mudd backward and me forwards in 2-wheel. I was impressed. They were cheap too for what they can do. However, they do 'hum' or give off road noise if that matters to ya. They are Goodyear's 'Extra Grip Work Horse' tires. I paid $100 buck for them. (a piece) thats cheap for compared to other mudd tires. They have little cratters for studds if you so choose. I put them on the rear cause they are a little on the soft side and some basic All-Terrains in the front, due to engine weight. Check'em out. They are cheap for LT truck tires. Good luck.
