Message: Is it really worth the $300.00 for the Superchip power programmer? How much HP and Torque do you really get for your money? If you get only 10 HP, I would think that would be costing a lot for what you are getting. Just want to know... sometimes these things are not as good as they advertise.

Message: The SuperChips tuner was worth the money in my opinion. I gained 17 ft/lbs of torque on just the 87 Octane setting. Not sure how much more I'd pull on the Dyno with it on the 'performance' setting, but I think they clain 15 HP and 28 ft/lbs of torque. The tuner also increased my gas mileage by about 1.5 MPG., changed shift points, and makes my truck run smoother. The SuperChips tuner is definately a good buy.

Message: The chip is the best mod I have done to my truck. In fact it is the only mod I have done that I could feel, inculdeing putting on a F&B TB.

Message: Do both of you run a V8 TB with the tuner? I just put one on, did the reset and now I have to drive a couple hundred miles to see how it reacts. I am really seriously thinking of getting the tuner. I read in the Superchips catalogue write-up that the tuner for the V6 wasn't able to change the shift points, or did I read the wrong thing? I modified the Throttle shaft on the V8 TB and added a ball/stud so I didn't have to change the cable. I just drilled and tapped a 10/32 NF hole right opposite the cruise control pin and tightened in in and used some red loctite. It will never come off. I also had to cut off the small plastic wedge thing that the V8 cable runs through. Wish I knew how to post a picture cause I took a few and I could show you what it looks like.

Message: I actually run a 48mm V-6 TB. I had it bored, milled, and polished by a guy on this website named "daveshotdako". He'll take a stock V-6 TB and modify it for you for $150. I recommend his TBs. The tuner and TB were the two best things I did for my truck.

Message: Thanks, Gunner, I know about what dave can do, sounds like he knows his stuff. For now I will stick with the V8 TB and see how it works out. Now as for a Mad Dog chip that can add 100 HP to a V6........Well.................I dont think so!!

Message: I would save your money for the chip and NOT do the TB. Like I said the TB I put on my truck was sapose to be the "best one you can get fot the V6" and I felt nothing. The chip you CAN feel. I know I am going to be the only person saying that the TB upgade is a waste of money untill you do many upgrads to you truck, like Cold Air Intake, 1.6 o 1.7 RR, cat back system, lose the cluth fan and get an electric one, on and on. I tried the "best" and sold it because I wanted to feel something not just say I got something that others say is a good mod. Just my $0.02

Message: its been a few weeks since i have been on here. i have been recovering from knee surgery. the thing with any mods is that you have to plan ahead. i dont remember the dyno results that gunner had after he put on one of my tb's. you have to remember that one mod will complement the next so everything that you do builds on the last mod. the superchip tuner was the last mod that i did to my truck. i after everything i had done before the superchip, i had noticed a big difference from when it was stock. when i installed the superchip, it really unlocked the power from the previous mods. just my 2 cents.
GET IN, SIT DOWN, SHUTUP, AND HOLD ON custom 48mm tb, tps @ .768, relocated IAT, 180 t-stat, autolite double platinum, taylor wires, flowmaster 40 delta flow single in/dual out, CAI, superchips tuner
