Subject: Autozone fuel pump IP: Logged
Message: Just replaced my fuel pump-on friday.
Problem now is - gauge reads almost empty and the light is on ( indicating -almost empty ).
Tank was half full when changed ( lifted box to do it ) , so only conclusion is that 'Master '
manufacturer of pump miswired the sender.
Dodge wiring goes -pump hot - top of sender-bottomof sender-slider-and negative or return of pump . I believe that they wired the sender portion top-slider-bottom .
Should have verified wiring first..
Now I will have to almost redo the entire process..

Message: Fixed - both problem - used original float arm
Cause of original FAILURE found to be
Plugged filters from DIRTY GAS..
I mostly used ESSO = EXXON , but I believe it
is DIRTY VENEZUELA crude..
Kind of a pain to spend $ 200.00 for more than needed.
when actually about $ 20.00 worth of filters
would have done it nicely..
