I'll have to be honest with you again black, I dont for the life of me understand why going fast is so important when you have a 4X4, I mean right off that bat you have a HUGE disadvantage in all the extra weight and more turning mass to move (transfer casa and front rear)..
If you got rid of your 4X4 for a 2by you could spend half as much to get the same results out of it.
Not flamin ya, just a though.

i was thinking of getting 4x4 myself but then i got such a good deal on my truck i couldnt pass it up. and i am glad i didnt get that 4x4 with as much racing and crusing i do now!

Sorry to hear you had a chance at a 2by and didnt take it.
I guess alot of use have or have had our 4X4's, I went thru my 4X4 stage about 8 years ago, broke all kinds a stuff off roading and decided to go back to fast cars (and truck).
Are you too upsidedown on your payoff to trade it in?
Good interest rates and discounts from Dodge are worth givin it a try, dontcha think?

i agree with scott about the 4x4 my friends 4x4 and every time they leve they come back with something broke. so i decided to get the 4x2 and havent broke anything yet.

On the plus side, if you do get the twin tubo kit and some other mods. 1) no one will even think you have it unless you rev it up alot. 2) you won't have to worry as much about traction. 3) a 4x4 that will run a 14 sec 1/4 would be awsome! Can you imagine pulling up to the line with 4 slicks lol

When you post, does it default to Scott (ie - prior to joining)?
If that's it, I got your fix. If you're on a 98 or prior platform, go to c:\windows\cookies. If you're on an NT platform, it will be in c:\documents and settings\username\cookies. Once there, delete the cookie for this site (mine is joneswi@www.dodgedakota - joneswi is my username).
Then, next time you come to post a message, it will be blank. When you put in FazDak, it will rememeber that for the next time.

I just posted for quite some time as "Scott" and when Ive worked to long and too hard I guess I just trip out a little.
Yes I stil run 98, I dont care for much of any OS past it except Lunux.

you really think turbo will get me to 14s? I have a hard time believing that. but it would be fun to stomp on an R/T with a V6 4x4. saw an R/T at the dealer today. $24,000. same price as the WRXs that were next to it. with them you get the speed and the traction with better gas milage. but R/Ts sure do look nice

I said "with some other mods" too. I don't know what it would take to get into the 14's. But I'm sure it can be done. But what do I know I'm only 16, I've never even been to the track to run yet.

yea montag you said 4 slicks?????? i dont think you would want to run it in 4x4 down a track that would proably slow it down even more......i know my dads truck slows down alot in 4x4 he has a 99' 1500 Ram CC with a 5.2L......and blackdak you are defiently faster than his truck =) i cant even power brake it LMAO
and twin turbos should get you around 14's depending on what you run right now? twin for my truck would proably get me to low 14's high 13's at least i hope.
