I have a 89 dakota with a v6 rebuilt but i tell you it is a pain in the cooler as far as running right. Just about everything is new but if you drive the truck for a few minutes it gets sluggish and hard to restart.I get a code 24 but i have new map,tps,fuel pump,fuel regulator, egr,
and etc...but far as running good its not...also the tranmission is acting a fool also I hear 2nd and sometimes 3rd but sounds like lockup most of the time. will not start in neutral...changed out switch but no backup lights and speedo bounce erractically.

If you are sure about TPS being new ,?
problem is probable dirty connection to
the computer - at it -/or somewhere in wiring.
Re tranny - sensor near back of tranny for speed
although sounds as if there is a problem with
the overdrive/converter lock up !
Does it have the "overdrive off " button on the
dash ? Does it make any difference ??
