Intense - I LOVED Texas! I had a great time! It was really good to meet all you guys. I had a good time at Ennis, just wish I had brought my truck. I was lucky enough to be standing at the rail with Tom Slick and learned a quite a bit too.
I'm taking my truck to the dodge truck shootout at the Cayuga Speedway in Toronto on June 8. It will be my first time, I think I will probably be hooked.

LI Blackdak LMAO its the 3.9L and it was 8.3 0-60 i believe (i asked one of my buddies and he said that)
and most ricer cars out there will be faster dont be ashamed just pull the old "Trucks arent built to race there built to tow and this truck is completly stock" lol
and for a 4x4 that is proably normal 10.5-11.5 my dad has a 99' ram 5.2L 4x4 CC that truck takes days to get up to 60 alot of power just no take off

12-13 is time to sell your truck and 10.5-11.5 with mods well it is time to sell your truck lol.
if you want something to race get the r/t dakota goes fast and you can find any part you want for it. thats my problem if i can find it then it costs a arm and a left nut.

They are nice huh? I got a fabulous deal on them from a boyd rep in Texas. Around $250 each. That is about a quarter of what they would cost up here.

i would be afraid to get brake dust on them they look so nice!!! i bet you just stared at them the first day you got them i know i would have lol. and what rims did you have on there before regular stock sport rims? and i am thinking of getting 17in. what size tires should i get the ones i am looking at are 17x9 i believe
next thing you should get is that mesh grill insert have great deals on them at ebay 37.95 upper and lower!! i just got some should be here in a few 2-3 days!!

My truck is a Gen2. It hase 3" exaust all the way back with a flowmaster. The exaust seemed to help out the top end more that off the line. If anything I lost a little of the bottom end. But it could just be me, I was riding dirtbikes yesterday and they are alot snappier than my truck.
0-60 = almost 8 sec. flat
I hope to go to the track soon, then I'll have my 1/8 mile time.

Finally had a chance to clock it! This is the first time I've been out late enough to find an open stretch and no cops! Hard to do around here.
And I have my cold air intake in now.
Anyway...
0-60 = 8.05 secs
Did three runs. They were all pretty much around 8, but that's the average.

geez 4wd really slows it down a lot
so I'm thinking that stock V6s range from like 8.5-12.5 or so RC 2wd 5speed-QC 4wd auto
what are the best mods(besides n2o and turbo/super) for your 0-60 time. I don't think the jet chip changed mine. might have helped top end. with just airaid I could get 11.xx and with my exhaust I can get under 11, but not always. I need a g tech though because my method for timing it is only good for getting within 1 second. so it could be 9 or 12 i don't really know. but which of the following will increase acceleration the most:
1.headers
2.48 mm TB
3.relocating IAT
4.MSD ignition w/ coil and wires
5.making my brother push
6.that tv cable thing
7.1.7 roller rockers
and also if i did all that stuff then how many seconds would I lose on my time

and speedtuba man where i live you can go 120 down 25mph streets there are never any cops around here!!! but in town thats a diff. story =(
i did a 0-60 last night on a stopwatch and i got 7.78 its not that accurate but i'll take it!!!
