I have a sloshing sound on the passenger side of my 99 3.9L. It seems to be at about the height of the glove box and just behind the firewall. I am also having heat problems (cool air from the vents.) I was planning on doing a Dan's Miracle Core Back Flush but ALSO now seem to be going through coolant. I put in 2 quarts of liquid twice in the past month. In what way could these three things be related? I have found no obvious source of the coolant leak through visual inspection. But everything is so wet it would be hard to see it! Its been raining like mad for 30 days or so here in Seattle!! I have been through a little standing water (12 inches or so) once or twice and the truck is outside all the time. Could the sloshing be just water draining improperly and not related to the coolant issue? I hate to go borrow a hose and a driveway and go through the flush and replace the coolant if it is something more serious like a heater core or pump which will just have to go to the mechanic anyway...and she will have to replace the coolant again. Where to start?

Yeah, I've heard that slosh bugger in my 99. Seems to be a small amount of water, under a cup or so. I tried braking and turning tests to reveal the location and could not identify the exact source. I was certain the heater core had leaked into the duct system, passenger side. That can be spendy fun. The good news is it went away within a couple hours operating time. The carpets were dry and no anti-freeze smell or wet duct area. I am not loosing water level and may have been rain related here in Eastern WA.

The magic black flush works great! Do it two or three times waiting a couple minutes between flushes.
