Does anybody know/recommend an aftermarket brake caliper mod for a 1998 Dak 4x4? I'm gutting my brake system (everybody in here knows why :) ) I'm getting the powerslot rotors and the raybestos quiet stop pads. I'm also snagging the raybestos rear drums with pads as well. All I need are the calipers.
Thanks,
Brian

I think there are rear mini drums for the parking brake similar to the GM truck ones.

is your speedo working correctly? if it's not registering under about 30mph it's probably the RWSS(rear wheel speed sensor) located in the center section of the rear diff.

To GM, I don't think they use pistons, my 98 Chrysler has disc's on the rear and after you remove the brake caliber, the disc just slides off. The parking brake is like a small drum a part of the disc. I don't know if the Dakota uses
the same set up or not though.
My Dak is an 88, it has drums rear.
Good Luck,
