Message: Check your fuses.
I've seen this before but can't remember what the heck I did to fix it. (few years ago) If you don't figure it out by tomorrow I'll make a call and see if I can't get an answer.

Message: Pretty sure this is suppose to happen when a fault code has occured in the brake system. My Dakota doesn't have ABS either and once it read that new color light ABS and the e-brake symbol. Read in my service manual what it was but didn't have the equipment or know how to read the brake codes. I am not 100% certain that is your problem but could be.
