hey yall!. I have some problems with my 1990 Dodge Dakota 3.9. Ive tried to new batteries, and i still cant get the truck to turn over. All i hear is some CLICK CLICK, everytime i turn the key, almost like the battery is dead, which i know it cant be. I doubt that its fuel related, like a couple of people have told me. could it be that (they still look ok) that i need new battery cables, or maybe a new alternator?

Any help, would be great.

Thanks again
Will

check and clean all battery connections and connections at the starter. it may not be a bad idea to pull the starter and bring it to be tested. especially if it's the original.

or if you're short on funds and
just want to get the thing moving.
sometimes if you just tap the starter
with a hammer while your buddy is turning
the ignition key, the starter will
crank enough to make you vehicle operative.
two cents...

Problem is Starter Solenoid.
But you must replace Starter to fix..
unless you know a starter rebuilder well
and are willing to wait for him to rebuild it.

Just take the starter apart and replace that little copper thing. Make your own or flip it over
