Subject: motor doing weird things IP: Logged
Message: Hello all, I was hoping you guys could help me out. I have a 1994 Ram with a 3.9 five speed. The problem is that when I start the truck it idles fine and then sometimes and only sometimes when I take off and get going up to about 2000 rpm right before i get ready to shift it will sputter. When it does this sputtering it misses and it feels like on more than one cylinder, but I have found out that when it is doing this if you rev it to about 3500 rpm it will clear out and do ok. It ahs a recent tuneup so I am lost. Thanks in advance.

Message: How full is fuel tank when this happens/ or does that make any difference ? = possible fuel pump
getting " weak " = need replace..
Also possible - ( I believe Ram has ,as well as Dak.) EGR valve/sensor assy - dirty need replace.
Also possible - battery cables/terminals need cleaning up ( may 'look ' ok but computer wants
Absolute )

Message: thanks alot it doesn't matter how full the tank is but we just cleaned the terminals. My gas gauge quit long ago and i think im going to have to invest in a new fuel pump.
