Subject: Starting Problem IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2000 Dakota Sport V6. It was running fine day before yesterday. When I went to drive it last night it was hard to start. Once cranked, if you didn't hold your foot on the accelerator it would cut off. What could be the problem? Thanks.

Message: I just went out and cranked the truck again and stomped down on the accelerator a few times and now it runs fine. Could there maybe been some trash in it?

Message: I had the same problem over the summer, I had the IAC and throttle plates cleaned and it helped for a bit, then came winter...same prob again, so I replaced the battery and all is well...so far, of course it's above 0 temps right now...below 0 is a whole new can of worms! Good Luck, hope your truck's not as bi-polar as mine :)
