Message: i just put a short block 3.9 in my dak about 2000 km ago. i was driving down the highway when the truck just died. at first it would start back up but sounded like a big block with a hot cam in it at idle and would stall as soon as i tried to drive. now a day later it will not start at all. i have spark and fuel and the battery and alt are fine....any ideas...i am worried it may be a timing issue or something. thanks for any ideas you guys may have

Message: Hey...get rid of your egr transducer which is the free floating black device that is hooked to the EGR Valve. If that doesnt work try capping off your EGR all together...same thing happened to me and it does the trick. If you want to you can replace the EGR transducer but it expensive and i think that it runs better without one at all. But depending on where you live you might need it to make smog regulations.
