haha, my cat. blew out on me and I just got around to ripping it off... I havn't but the new exhaust on but I DID drive it around without any exhaust at all... Who knew that little V6 could make so much noise? and MAN! It has more power than I expected... The exhaust was clogged from the busted Cat but now I can get it sideways from a stand-still... I was impressed... Makes me want to just leave the exhaust off! lol... (Just a random rant)

haha, no idea dude... Like I said, my results were unexpected plus I had a clogged cat... Try it and see :-D Probably not a good idea though but it was time for me to change my stuff out..

Ive done that before about a year ago when I changed my muffler to a glasspack. At the time I didnt have a welder but I had to weld the reducer to the glasspack, well I had to take it to school to use the welder there, but I couldnt get the truck in the shop so I had to remove it and drive to school and back. So all I had was the cat and about 2' of pipe out the back of it, That was loud to say the least I was scarying small children and the elderly that day.

I put on a 28" long thrush 2.5" in/out, It fells better than it did before I installed it, but I also put in a K&N air filter at about the same time so its probobly a little of both and I put on a 3" chrome resinator tip. If I had it to do agian I would of gotton a shorter glasspack, something around 14", In my opinion it sounds better than it did before at idle it sounds like a stock V8 exhaust, and its really loud up thru 1st and 2nd gear and in 3d and OD about 3/4 of the sound drops and all you can hear in the cab is a buzz, kinda like a junebug. I was really going for quanity over quality.

dont run with out hedders i tryed it and ended up burning my exhaust valves to the head fun but expensive fix!

Yeah, I ran a 1986 Ford Bronco with a 302 with just manifolds for about 2 months.. never burned the valves, but everyone said I would... Im sure it would have eventually, but I just got lucky, It sounded like a monster truck... I always laughed because people would scream when I would start it at the gas station, it echoed off the ceiling and sounded like an explosion! lol.
I had my 91 3.9 4x4 on open manifolds once, I had to cut the factory exhaust to do the trans. work, It does sound really good, but I never drove it like that... right now it's set up with straight pipes into cherry bombs, true duals, It sounds great, but I didn't feel to much power gain...

took my truck out with out a muffler and it run great. lost the low end grunt but more than made up for it with hp. Lots of FUN! the v8 sounds kinda crappy at idle but open it up and :D
sounds really cool if you have chebby and magnaflow exhaust is too, put about a 1,2inch gap in the exhaust right after the cat. SOUNDS AWESOME! never tried it on dodge but i bet it would work the same.

Man, you aint kiddin... I had an 87 Suburban with a 350, 4" lift and 33's... Had a magnaflow true dual setup with no cats, just mufflers... that was the best sounding exhaust I ever had...

That was my favorite part about having a loud truck... I loved to get on it everytime I passed a parked car and set off the alarm!
