The B&M shifters will work with the 97 Dak as long as it lists for the Torqueflite 727/904. I put the light truck megashifter in my 97 V6 Dak. This one comes with an adjustable base that really helped getting it level. It only took about 10 minutes to remove the console shifter. I drilled a hole in the back side base of the B&M shifter and relocated the overdrive switch there. I did all the work except for the final hookup. I had a transmission shop that I trust do the linkage and cable hookup.
