I just bought a 2000 Dakota a month ago. It has the sticker that says authorized dealer update. How do you modify the cps or is the supertuner the better way to go.

That's up to personal preference - you could send it out for a custom flash as some of us have done, or many are pleased with the superchips programs. Why the title "deathflash" ? There were quite a few flashes that did not retard ignition advance. I've heard those with letter codes through AH were ok. Stock programming can still be improved on though.

How do I know if my truck has the Deathflash? I see no sticker under the hood. Anywhere else to look?

If your PCM has been flashed there will be a sticker on it indicating the flash. This does not always mean its the "deathflash"; a term that refers to a flash that has retarded timing.
