Subject: 3rd Cat removal for dual exhaust
IP: Logged

Message:
I plan on getting duals sometime in the near future and I was wondering about the 3rd cat. Is there anything to be gained by removing it, and if I do remove it will I run into problems with O2 sensors and/or engine codes? Thanks for all your help. New to the Daks and gotta dress the new toy up a little bit. Its a 2001 CC 3.9 V6.

IMO, i would replace it with a hi flow.
the only problem with removal- visual smog inspection.

The trucks tend to perform better with a Hi Flow than without anything.
