hey guys i have a problem....98 dakota 3.9 the problem is it sounds like i am misfirring on the 1st cyclinder....i have replaced the plugs and wires any suggestions

how about the cap & rotor? is it a steady miss or is it random? have you tried some kind of injector cleaner? try swapping the injector on number one with another that's working. also, have you run a compression test yet?
i know, a lot of questions but no answers. it's kinda hard to diagnose with the info you gave.

no i have no replaced the cap and rotor i have replaced plugs and plug wires though and yes i tried some fuel injector cleaner and it was a waste of time....im gonna run the compression test this weekend but i just didnt know if anyone else has had this problem or not
