In cold weather, my 2001 V6 dakota does not high idle after start up. Is this a bad thing?

Well, I wouldnt think so. Here in TN it's got in the high 20's and my truck doesnt idle high after start up. Just as long as the idle doesnt drop once it's warmed up you should be ok. But if this is a big concern than you might wanna get it checked or ask around a little more. Good luck.
