 Subject: wiring for trailer hitch

need to put a pigtail connector on the bumper for trailering
need help with the wire color codes
what wires goes to the green/brown/yellow etc on the trailer connector
I know white is ground
what is best place to attach the wire harness on the dodge

When I installed my hitch, I bought a trailer wiring harness too. It just went inline with the tail lights.

I understand
just need to know what wire goes were I have the harness and the inline tap plugs
have a green, brown,yellow (white is ground) in the harness
I hate doing it the hard way with a 12v light wire

in-line tap? What kind of wiring harness did you get? Mine came with square connectors that plugged into the factory wiring from the rear lights.

got a test lite?
pen and paper and head for a buddies truck
headlights on run though till ya find the live plug wire, jot the color and function down.
then move on
left turn, right turn etc. etc.
i gotta get a new test light
otherwise i could have let ya know in less then 5 mins.

what year is your truck? i might know which wires to splice into.
