I was just wondering what would cause my truck to die like it is doing....I start it it starts fine then dies.....If I give it gas for a while it will idle on its own. If I rev it up after that it will die.

I can drive it around after I get it going and after driving it it works fine.....I can park it after driving it for a while and it sits in park fine... Just curious if you guys had any ideas...

Gas filter was replaced just a few months back...It has done this before off and on.

Probably your IAC(Idle air control valve), located on the back of the TB. It is what regulates your idle speed, and if it starts to go bad, will screw with your cold start idle, or lack thereof.

If it ain't broke, fix it til it is.

That's exactly how mine started out, and after a month, I was driving with 2 feet. Anything under 1500 and she'd die...braking with your left foot's interesting, I think I've mastered it though! LOL! Anyways, I took it to Goodyear, and they cleaned my "extremely dirty" throttle plates, and reset all the adaptives...she runs great now! It cost about me $80CAD, but the gas I'm saving now is worth it. Good luck! :)
