Subject: 1994 Dakota code 42 IP: Logged
Message: I flashed the codes on my 1994 Dakota and came up with a 42. What does this mean and how do I fix the problem?

Message: If you have not already done so = carefully check the wiring harness under the ' underhood ' fusebox..
You will find a splice about 8 to 10 inches down the harness ( you need to unwrap the tape on the harness to find ) - -=- you should re do this
splice , especially if it looks " green "
= corroded "
This splice carrys power to/from the ASD relay
which supplies the fuel pump and ignition..
