Subject: good bye leaf spring IP: Logged
Message: A local shop can remove a leaf spring on each side on the back to soften my trucks ride. I have a 1987 dodge dakota long box, too stiff for me. I replaced the shocks, it helped a little bit. I carry 600 pounds of lime, it helps a bit. I have shoulder problems and my truck jars it. I love this truck in every other way and do not want to sell it. I have a gmc s15 extended cab It drives like a car (which I like)but it is not as pretty as the dakota. I do not need to carry a load, just light duty for work.(200 pounds or so) The guy at the shop said taking a leaf out will loose pay load(I dont care)but should conciderably soften(improve in this case) the ride. Does any one have experience with this? Thanks
