Message: i have a 97 dakota sport with a 3.9l engine. i have a gibson dual exhaust system cat back, and an intake and i want to gain more top end because my truck gets to about 50 and doesnt want to kick in and go as fast. so i was wondering what would be the best way to gain more top end?

Message: will that make my 1/4 mile time alot better?
because my truck runs really bad in the 18s lowest i got was a 17.9 but that was with a bad jump and with good jumps off the line my times were worse.

Message: im not sure as to the 1/4 mile times as i have never taken my truck to the track, except to watch the NHRA nationals. it will help your mid to top end significantly. after you did the swap, also do the tps mod again on the new tb and also check the adjustment on you tv cable. if you are interested, you can e-mail me with any questions at davethomas2184@yahoo.com.

Message: Most say they feel a diff when they put on a bigger TB. I had the F&B 48mm TB on my truck. (it is sapose to be the best one for the V6) and I sold it and whent back to my stock TB. Top speed with F&B 97MPH, top speed with stock TB 103 and still pulling. Towing I can not tell between the two, the stock TB does just as good as the F&B did. IMO get a V8 TB IF YOU MUST PUT ON A DIFFERANT TB. I see no reason to spend good money on parts that may or may not give you a boost on HP. V8 TB cheepest way to see if it helps you DAK.
