Ever changed a fan or alt belt before fly?
if so you can change this one your self!!

Its cake to change and you should even have a handy little diagram on your hood of how its routed just incase you forget.

Worse come to worse go to Pep Boys or somethin and get a cheap repair manuel for your Dak.

Good luck, Scott

As far as time wise, it should take about a minute or two. I just changed mine yesterday(well I had to put the old one back on, autozone gave me the wrong belt). If it's not covered by the warranty, try to do it yourself, because I think a dealership will charge you an arm and a leg for it.

Grab a friend to help you with holding the tensioner, should only take a few minutes to put on. I replaced mine at 50K. It really isnt a "problem" if you need to replace it, just regular maintenance that is recommended every 36k or so.

socket set, pull tensioner toward drivers side, the bolt does not unscrew, I did this myself, 20mins, and have limited mechanical skills.

Just follow the diagram that is on the inside of your engine. It is real easy. I was kinda nervous to do it myself, but it seriously was only a few minute job. And it made the truck run alot smoother.

socket set may not work as a wrench to pull the tensioner over. either would work though

Well, when I went to get a new belt they gave me a one that is just barely too long. Is the belt tight? I didn't know you could adjust a serpintine belt.
