 Subject: Powerless power locks

K, my locks lock/unlock when they feel like it, sometimes one, sometimes none. One day I pushed the button 25 times before the drivers side lock went up. The problem is mainly on the drivers side (but getting worse on pass. side), and mostly when I want to unlock. I can hear a motor-like sound, but nothing happens. I took it to a collision specialist that my Goodyear mechs recommended (because a gi-normous spring fell out of my dr. sd door, and the bolt was broken at the top and slowly wiggling out (had to bang it back up everytime I got out!). When I asked him to fix my locks too, he said it's some motor on each side, and it's gonna be $100/part/door. $200 w/out labor...for locks! Is there any other way to clean or grease something without replacing the motors? I'm too lazy to use the key, so I'll probably pay it, but if I can clean something instead, that'd be much better. Seriously guys, piece by piece my truck is slowly falling apart, who'da thunk a door would start to fall off, it's only a 97 w/ 180,000 kms...not impressed! :(
