Subject: Hesitation IP: Logged
Message: I have a 99 Dakota, 6 cylinder, 5 spd. manual transmission. 107,000 Km's (66,000 miles aprox.)
Whenever the engine is cold and there is dampness in the air I get this hesitation from my truck.
It happens when I let the clutch out to drive in first gear as well as when I shift to second gear. Once I get past the first couple of gears this problem disappears. As well, after the engine has warmed up, or if it is a really warm day, the hesitation goes away completely.
I do not get any check engine lights that light up.
I recently changed the spark plugs, wires and rotor and there was no change in this problem.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to where or what I should look at on my truck?
Thanks.

Message: Put some seafoam down the TB. I follow directions on the can, 1/3 in TB, 1/3 in fuel and 1/3 in oil. Works well.
Clean the carbon buildup from the intake system. Cost around $75-100 here for air induction cleaning service.

Message: I should have added to my original post that I have had the throttle body off and cleaned it and everything else associated with that area of the intake. as well I ran a couple of cans of throttle body cleaner through the intake.
Thanks for the suggestions though.

Message: Did you change / inspect the cap as well? My dad's old S-10 did this due to a wet cap.
