Message: I have a 2002 dakota 4x4 and when i am driving at around 60 the oil pressure is up like 3/4 of the gauge, but then when i come to a stop it drops down to like 1/4. is this normal or could it be from sludge build up. Also this truck sucks gas and has no burn out ability what so ever but i love the damn thing. so far the only mod i have is a k&n cold air intake and i did the injector sync which to my disappointment did nothing for performance or gas mileage. My next purchase is going to be a 48mm throttle body but i would like to know if it is really worth the money

Message: Mine is also an '02, and when it's idling the oil pressure drops back a good bit so I'd say that's normal.
I put a Fastman on mine, and immediately felt a difference on the butt dyno. That seemed to have helped the mileage a little, too.
I'm planning on the injector sync at the same time that I do Harlan-Sharpe 1.7's, so I'm sorry to hear that you didn't get the results you were expecting.

Message: What engine do you have? How many miles? My truck ('98 3.9 with 61K) used to do that but since I switched to AMSOIL the pressure doesn't fluctuate that much. It could be sludge build up, but it could be that once your truck gets warm and the oil does also, that it thins out and when you come to a stop, the pressure will drop. Switching to a good synthetic should minimize the pressure fluctuation.

Message: No burn out? I'm gonna assume you have a automatice. I have a 5spd and I can burn them through first and chirp them when I hit second. After I got my bigger tires (32's) I couldn't do that until I got my muffler but the powers back.
Plus I have 112,000 mi on my beast.

Message: Adam, does your truck come stock with an over-inflated ego, or does it have the backwater stump-jumpin' jibberspeak mod??

Message: Nope... this truck cant burn out unless the road is wet but then it does some nasty burnouts. But now that im thinkin of it the truck does have 32's on it so maybe i will have to step them down a size when i get new ones, and get a new muffler. I have been thinking of a flowmaster but im not really sure yet
