Message: I pulled my 72 Dart Swinger to the racetrack and back with my 3.9 Dak with 3.55 gears and it was no sweat. The car weighs 3600 lbs and the trailer 1500 lbs. Just don't try to pull in overdrive.

Message: I have a '93 v-6 extended cab, with pretty much no mods. I pulled a 5' x 10' trailer, fully loaded, that probably weighed about 2500 lbs, trailer and possessions. I also had about 1000 lbs. in the bed of the truck. The truck has 170,000 miles on it. I pulled this from middle of Ohio to Seattle, Washington. Let's just say I'm going to drive the truck till the wheels fall off, then buy new parts and put them back on. Besides getting 9 mpg and being abused by the wind, I had no problems what so ever. LONG LIVE MOPAR AND THE DAKOTA!!!

Message: my 3.9 has a payload rating of 1450, it sees quite a bit of weight close to that, never had any problems.
