I have a 1995 Dodge Dakota Auto 4wd Ext cab. My friend has a 1993 2wd transmission. Mine is doing pretty bad i have a bad slip in between 1st and 2nd gear. I can get it put in for free, just wondering if anyone knows whether there the same transmissions . I know they both are 4spd autos. I really dont want to spend hundreds of dollars to get it rebuilt.

Check the transmission Model numbers, they are usually located on the drivers side of the trans right above the trans oil pan(stamped on the trans it self). If they match then they are the same.

In 93 it was a 32RH 95 42RH both same trans
as long as they both have the 3 prong plug and
you may need to swap out the speed sensor
