 Subject: add oil???

This is going to be the studipest question ever posted, but how do you add oil to the engine of my 1998 3.9 Ddakota. When I took off the oil cap, and started to pour in the oil it would not go in the hole, there some metal that will not allow the oil to go down to the engine.

I would take the valve cover off and see if there is any dirt/oil sludge blocking the opening. just a thought

pour the oil in slowly.. that's a baffle screen used to help deflect oil coming off the rocker arms.
