P0132 O2 Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
P0135 O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

I recieved these 02 sensor failure codes about 3,000 miles after front 02 replacement. The oddest part about it is it runs a little better if not the same. Also the mileage has bumped up over 1 mpg. (2002 quad 4x4)

What am i missing here? Shouldnt my mileage have dropped? I must have something else sending the wrong data for a mpg increase...
Your thoughts?

Thanks

Mileage will also depend on your driving habits.

I had O2 sensor codes on my Dak for 6 months before I changed out the sensors. My mileage didn't decrease one bit during the entire six month. It didn't get better after changing out the sensors either.

I'm not well versed on O2 sensor problems, but just thought I'd let you know how my mileage wasn't affected.

I understand that the DOWNSTREAM 02 sensor does not affect the fuel/air mixture, it is used to keep track of the effciency of the Cat. the UPSTREAM 02 sensor is the one that adjusts fuel delivery when in closed loop operation. so no change in drivability would make sense in this case.

When you replaced the sensors did you unplug the battery/reset the PCM? Sometimes if a sensor gets bad enough(but not enough to trip a code) and you change that sensor, you will inadvertantly trip a code due to the PCM "saving" all current operating perameters.

If it ain't broke, fix it til it is.
