Subject: throttle body sucking sound IP: Logged
Message: hi all,
sorry for the stupid question, but I put on a high flo edelbrock filter to get rid of the old bulky breather and element that were on there. and now when I give it quick gas I can hear for a second a sucking sound. is this normal? reason I ask is I have always used regular breathers that would absorb any sounds coming from the TB port. or could this be a leaking TB gasket? I just replaced it a couple of weeks ago though...
thanks for any help.

Make the exhaust louder and then you won't hear it inhale.

Message: Not completely true...I got a Flowmaster 40 dumped under the bed and I can still hear it pretty well. Of course if I rev it up, the sound goes away mighty quick:)
