Message: It would be helpful if you could clarify a few things. Your truck has "new" lifters. First of all, why, second of all, how recently? I've never known a filter to cause a sound like clattery lifters, but it's possible something is clogged. The Mopar filters are of good quality, so I would be surprised if something is wrong with it.
I have not known timing chain noise to come on suddenly like you describe, but it's a remote possibility.
What viscosity oil did you use? You do understand that some valve clatter is kind of normal after an oil change in almost any hydrolic lifter OHV engine I hope. Have you changed the oil in this truck before, and if so, how did it behave before?
Good luck.

Message: i'd start by checking the oil pressure
and personaly i dont care what kind of filter your running, it can fill up like all the rest
but get it tended too
if its not the chain your hearing
then somethings starving for oil!
& craig raised a good question
new lifters in a 99? why?

Message: for 1 its not the timing change never said anything about timing chain, also never said it was normal after an oil change thats when it started to happen, the crank cam lifters and all that stuff were changed in the summer of 03 or 04 reason being that the engine had a rough idle and the crank seals were leaking changed the seal and come to find out something is wrong with the crank so got a new one. 10w30 the oil i use mobil 1 (not synthitic) never did this before except maybe once but completly went away and this is the first time ive changed my filter with a mopar one always use fram tough gaurd, also i change my oil evrey 3000 miles and ive been doin this for the 3 years ive had the truck and the reason i say filter because i was reading other posts and it said oil filters suck and wont return enough oil or something i dunno but my oil pressure is over half or at the middle all the time
